What's one thing you want to try in your community next year?
My answer: a tool library. Ladders, drills and a pressure washer shared by the whole street, instead of twelve of each sitting in sheds.
Two months on: the tool library has 31 items and a borrowing list, and the pressure washer is booked until April.
And of course the first thing anyone borrowed was the ladder, exactly as every other tool library warned me it would be.
Late to this thread, but the tool library is brilliant. If you write up how the borrowing list works, I'd love to share it in the Community Managers Circle.
