Having a look at the volunteering and neighbourhood groups.

And a few things I learned the hard way:
- Always have a rainy-day plan
- Count the grabbers before and after
- Never rely on one group chat for sign-ups
- Ask people what they want to do, not just what needs doing
- Rest is part of the rota too
-
Just remembered: the sign-up for the organisers' virtual meetup is pinned in Neighbourhood Organisers. Anyone is welcome, even if you're only thinking about starting something.
Checking which groups have new posts today.

Since you're checking groups today: Community Builders Connect had a lively thread yesterday about onboarding new volunteers over video calls. Lots of practical tips in the replies.

One more for the list: the Starting a Neighbourhood Group course is worth a look if you ever fancy running something local. The lesson on finding your first ten members is my favourite.
Will read the rest of the feed later.
